Birthday, Birthday's gift....and it's meaning

July, 22nd is my b'daaay!

sweet seventeen.......

I dunno why, but i just feel there's something 'different' in my B'day this year. No, it's not a surprise but, there's lots of people who say " happy birthday" and ask me" what do you want for b'day gift." Moreover, my dad wanna held a birthday party for me-i never had it since ten years ago). so, i said :a big NO

Birthday, it mean plus one for my age's number. The differences is, when im seventeen, i get an ID Card, positition as citizen and individual, i get a right for votes, have my own asset and a bank accouunt above my name. One year older, which mean i get more demands to be an adult, have more responsible and grow more mature.

Honestly, im not a type of person who think that birthday is important ...

In my opinion, b'day isnt important. except for those elders( who supposed be grateful for their long ages). But, for young people, why you are feeling soo special?

"today is your birthay? ...so what?"

Im not a type of person who say "Happy birthday" to someone whom i dunno/not familiar. If i rarely have a conversation with that person, why i supposed to say 'Happy birthday'?

Im not a type of person who celebrate something routine and ordinary. I'll say 'Congratulations' if that person deserve it, when they gain success, win a competition or get an achievemet. (I think people who pass rehab deserve a congrats). Birthday isn't an achievement. Wheter the person became better or worse, birthday will always comes every year. So...what makes it special?

Being older doesn't mean being mature...

Birthday gift, i think the one that important it's the gift's meaning itself....

Im not a type of person who like giving a gift or a surprise. that's simply not my habit! I'd rather give someone something that he/she needs. IF i had a money, i certainly will ask " what do you want? specially, what do you need?" (i hope it's not expensive)

Im not a type of person who like to receive a gift freely. Except it was something that i really want, like a books, schools need or drawing toolz. Besides that, if they asked me i'll say "Make something for me! Anything!"

Honestly i do really love and appreciate something like that! coz it's not purcasheable!

I never tought that i can get a real-touchable-gunyuu in my life.

Sometimes when i say iwanna Gunyuu, i really say in the real meaning.

Simple gunyuu. This is the reason why i feel very pleased when i get many fanart from deviantArt.

So, if there's a birthday. I oftenly give an original drawing as b'day present. Ugly, useless and cheap. Undestansbly, im only good in drawing, so i give the best that i can do. Altought the picture is ugly, there's only one-ugly-picture like that in this world, the one which i made for you!

WIP : Jaded heart

Inspiration comes from Jade, as the title: a girl with a jaded heart

I (basically) just want to make some diferrent drawing, something that refect both sadness and beauty inside. I use SAI for making sketch and lineart, all coloring progress done in Photoshop.

i made the sketch, i spend 1 hour just to brainstorming with sketch and concept

and make the lineart

i start to color the skin and then i color the yukata

i make the face detail : eyes, make up, more shadows. I add white to the pearl

I add shadow in the pearl, make it more 3D, coloring the flower in up-right side, and start to draw the yukata's detail. I spend a whole day to draw those pattern

done with the yukata, i add the water reflection,copypaste the yukata's and use smude tool to wrap it. I decide to make a butterlfy as her accesories and i also use a complex pattern from PS brush in the background.

i add the glowing effect, in everywhere. I use 'color balance' to make the entire picture more like a jade color. i blur some parts, sharpen the entire picture in the last and...

done!

In last4 years, i never be absent to attend Japan Festival/Matsuri @ LIA pengadegan (jakarta)

well : i'll share you my reason to be there, what's make the J-Fest @ LIA so special and different

First,It's VERY close from my house (5 minutes with bike?)

Second reason, Bon odori in there is the best (after i join bon odori in other places)

it's like an event where we do japanese traditional dancing with everyone ^_^

it's fun! (i'll explain it sometimes)

and Third(the best part) is..............

Mini-Moni!!!!

It's extremely RARE Show! Only avaible in LIA's J-Fest. You won't find it in other places!

So rare, So exclusive, Awesommelly WEIRD and entertaining.

tapi saia merasa yah kehidupan sekolah yang saia alami yah secara garis besar seperti ini, walaupun tidak seekstrim ini, saat majalahnya terbit, banyak orang yang bilang suka komik saia, saat itu saia sadar kalau saia tidak sendirian
banyak anak2 28 yg juga mengalaminya (jujur saja, saya cukup senang waktu mengetahuinya)
tapi saia mencoba berpikir realistis, baik sebagai komikus sekaligus pembuat cerita...

sekali lagi...Tidak ada toleransi.

Intinya, kita kadang sering sekali iri dengan sekolah top dengan fasilitas yang luar biasa,

entah yang ada di dunia nyata atau sekolah elit yang kita tonton di drama korea

kadang kita berharap 'andai saja aku punya sekolah seperti itu'

masalahnya : apakah kita sudah siap dengan segala resikonya?

dan menjalani tanggung jawab yang mau tidak mau harus kita hadapi sebagai 'murid dari sekolah top elit'

Bersyukurlah dengan apa yang kita miliki

saia sendiri sebetulnya sudah senang sekolah di 28, rasanya sekolah itu nyaris cukup dalam segala hal : fasilitas, nama baik, grade tinggi, dan murid yang cukup intelek...(kalau saja ada japan club dan peningkatan fasilitas di ruang music)....it's perfect (for me) *slapped
